Wegrow & Yoplait
Discover how Yoplait improved collaboration in a decentralized franchise organization with Wegrow.
Yoplait yogurt division is a US$ 1B+ business operated in 30 countries. The specificity of the business is that half of the countries are operated directly by Yoplait’s teams, and half are independent franchises. As a result, the ‘silo’ effect is multiplied, with each of the local teams working in an independent way. The challenge was to give a sense of community despite this organizational challenge, as well as using this global presence to drive better & faster innovations.
Wegrow was implemented by the Yoplait team to share successful innovation projects, mistakes to learn from, and competitor monitoring. The objective was to have one repository where all the markets would learn from each other, whether they are Yoplait entities or Franchises. Wegrow’s gamification was key to drive engagement from the teams.
200 marketers were registered to start the platform, with an incentive to win small prizes every 2 months (bottle of Champaign, brand premium goodies).
3 months after its launch, 80% of the markets were participating by sharing best practices, mistakes to learn from and competitor observations. 3 years later, the same engagement was maintained, with more than 2.000 best practices shared in a user-friendly & efficient Wegrow library.
Franchises really feel that they are part of a global organization where each market supports each other.
